Jamaican midfielder Andrew Vanzie to trial with the Seattle Sounders FC

It looks like the Seattle Sounders FC will have a new trialist at Starfire Sports Complex. Andrew Vanzie is a midfielder who currently plays for Portmore United FC in the Jamaican Premier League. Vanzie, 21, has represented Jamaica in the youth levels and the "A" national team.

According to the Jamaica Observer, Andrew Vanzie is set for a trial with the Sounders FC. The Jamaican international made his debut against Ecuador in a 5-2 loss. The article also states that Vanzie is a key member of Portmore United FC.

Portmore United chairman Wayne Sinclair had some words to say about his midfielder.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for Andrew and Alanzo. Though it is always a challenge to replace such a key part of your setup, we continue to support our core philosophy of putting the personal and professional development of our players ahead of what may be the best interests of the team. We sincerely hope that these trials will result in a permanent move for both players.
Alanzo Adlam will have a two-week trial with DC United while Vanzie is expected to have a four week trial with the Seattle Sounders FC.
