Defenders James Riley selected and Tyson Wahl traded by the Montreal Impact

James Riley was selected by the Montreal Impact in the 2011 Major League Soccer Expansion Draft as the Impacts' ninth pick. A few minutes later, Tyson Wahl was traded to the Impact for Allocation money.

After being selected by the Montreal Impact, James Riley was immediately traded to Chivas USA.. After Montreal finished the draft, the Canadian club announced that they had traded allocation money for Sounders FC defender, Tyson Wahl.

Both Riley and Wahl were selected by the Sounders in the 2009 Expansion Draft. The players played for the San Jose Earthquakes and Sporting Kansas City, respectively. Both players scored a goal for the Sounders and both players will be deeply missed by the Seattle Sounders FC.

From SSFC-Rumors, best of luck to James Riley and Tyson Wahl as they begin a new adventure in Major League Soccer.
